Time to Brace your Face!

Orthodontic problems don’t improve with time. In fact, it’s often better to treat many orthodontic problems during the teen years, rather than wait until adulthood. Once growth is complete, the bones of the face and jaw are fully developed. As a result, some orthodontic conditions become far more challenging to correct.

Efficient Orthodontics

Dr. Christine Ellis uses the most advanced tools to have you wearing braces for as short a duration as possible. Dr. Ellis knows that kids are very busy and works to minimize the amount of time spent wearing braces. Most of her patients wear braces around 18-24 months.

Type of Braces

Dr. Ellis offers both clear and metal Damon self ligating braces for her patients.  She knows how important it is to feel confident during orthodontic treatment and will work with you and your teen to find a treatment plan that will make their orthodontic treatment a fun and exciting event that leaves them with a great smile and fantastic dental health.

Spark Clear Aligners for Teens

For teens who want a more discreet option than braces, Dr. Christie Ellis also offers Spark Clear Aligners. Spark aligners straighten teeth without brackets or wires, and they’re removable—so your teen can take them out to eat, brush, floss, and for special occasions like pictures or big events.

Just like braces, clear aligners can correct many orthodontic problems, but success depends on wearing them consistently. Spark aligners should be worn 22 hours per day (only removing them for meals and cleaning) so treatment stays on track.

At Ellis Orthodontics, Spark treatment is planned with digitally driven technology using a digital scan for precise, effective aligner therapy and to help minimize the need for refinements.
